Regulationships.com has been created and authored by John
Murray, a regulatory and compliance consultant to industry
(that's me). I've spent my entire professional career
working for drug and biologic manufacturers, mostly
regulating advertising, promotion, and labeling for
FDA-regulated products. I've also managed compliance
operations for a multi billion dollar companies and have
spent a lot of time negotiating with and making submissions
to FDA over a variety of regulatory issues. Unfortunately,
some of these have been related to enforcement actions, but
most often negotiations have been collaborative as part of
things like labeling negotiations, advisory comment
negotiations, and a variety of meeting purposes (something
I seem to be doing even more frequently now, as a
consultant).
Since 2008, I've worked as an Consultant to many companies
in industry helping with compliance, advertising and
promotion, training and a variety of other issues. Through
my company Grayscale Compliance, LLC. I get paid
by drug manufacturers to help their business stay
compliant with regulations and to strategically
anticipate and address potential issues. In an ideal
world, the entire industry would be my customer. So
take anything I say on this website with that
knowledge. I don't mind the criticism of this website
content for this potential source of bias, if it comes
to that. But be reminded, for any blogger, critic, or
interested person, the fact that they have potential
sources of bias does not discredit thoughtful and
truthful discussion. Nonetheless, disclosure and
transparency is good, within reason and where
necessary (it's necessary here). A world without
disclosure and transparency is not a place for me.
I am also creator, author and co-founder of GoodReprintPractices.com a site
dedicated to expert commentary on FDA regulation of
scientific communications.
